Hooters Girls, Superman - It's that time of the year
Heard about Chad Billingsley's Masquarade Party story, about dressing up like Robin Hood on one of their road trips. Well, it's time for our guys to break out their best dresses too. Each year we make the rookies dress up on one of the last road trips - last year there was a Hooters Girl, one year Superman. Jered Weaver had to dress up like a chick. He was hamming it up pretty good. I think he enjoyed it a little too much. One of the guys buys the costumes, last year Vlad did it, then we take their clothes out of their bags and put the costumes in. They have to wear them from the time they leave the clubhouse to the time we get to the hotel. They'll walk to the bus, past all the fans, they'll go to the edge of the parking lot to sign autographs. They also have to carry all the drinks from the clubhouse to the buses and then the buses to the plane. It's nothing too serious but it's pretty funny stuff.

Was this little escapade going on when you were a rookie? What other kind of rookie initiations did you have to go through? I imagine y'all have come up with some pretty interesting stuff to put the rookies through. But hey, what better way to exercise seniority then to give the new guys a little hell.
As for Weaver...NEVER let him live that down.

As for today's game... I just got home a little over an hour ago - what an amazing game! I was lucky enough to see Friday's, Saturday's and today's games, and let me tell you how excited I was when I found out you'd be starting today! Thank you for being down to earth and doing something like this to keep in touch with your fans. You're amazing! :)

Angels ace John Lackey, who'll pitch Game 1 against Boston, finished the season with an 19-9 record and a 3.01 ERA, the lowest in the American League. However, the Red Sox have thrived against the righthander in two starts this season. Lackey is 0-2 with an 8.38 ERA (9 runs allowed in 9 2/3 innings) vs. Boston in 2007. Can Lackey step-up stop Ortiz Drew, and Youkilis who handled him well in the past?
Every Espn Expert is picking The Redsox to win this series in four or five... Angels needs to pitch, be aggressive on the bases.

Hope you guys win. Can't bring myself to ever root for the Sox. You guys always give my Yankees trouble in the playoffs though. Good luck this series.
